Job summary
A local arts organization in York is seeking a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide occasional weekend support at art events. The role involves helping set up displays, engaging confidently with the public, and requires a UK driving license. Ideal candidates will have an interest in art and be understanding towards individuals with autism. Flexible work arrangements are offered.

Full UK driving licence essential (to drive employer's motability vehicle). Must be happy to drive long distances.

I am looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide occasional weekend support at art events.
- Supporting me at art events on an ad hoc basis (mainly weekends).
- Helping with setting up and packing away displays.
- Confidently talking to the public about my work and assisting when things get busy.
- Being understanding and patient, with some knowledge of autism or a willingness to learn.
- Someone who enjoys art and creative environments.
- Confident speaking with a wide range of people.
- Possibly semi-retired, or someone looking for occasional extra work without a regular weekly commitment.
- Events are planned months in advance, so support can be organised well ahead of time.
- Locations may vary depending on where exhibitions and events are held.
- Training and guidance will be provided.
