A women's fashion startup in London is seeking a Merchandising Manager to develop product strategies and manage inventory. The ideal candidate has over 4 years of experience in merchandising, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Excel. With Nothing Underneath is a DTC Womenswear startup creating shirts for women. Inspired by men’s tailoring, British heritage and timeless style, WNU was started in London in 2017 out of the need for shirts that were perfectly adjusted for women, sustainably sourced and stood the test of time.

As Merchandising Manager you will be responsible for developing our product strategy whilst also managing trade reporting and inventory.
They will play a key role in partnering with Design, Product Development, the Business Units to develop and implement strategies to maximise sales and profitability, while aligning to the brand vision.
The Merchandiser will also be responsible for owning all trade reporting and inventory management across the business.
Product and Assortment planning
Develop seasonal product strategies that support key global business needs and align with brand strategy
Own pricing of product using deep understanding of competitive landscape and customer knowledge
Partner with design & PD to communicate costing needs and maintain dept. margin
Research competition (retail, department stores, web) to understand the global markets and make recommendations to drive business growth.
Analyse data and information in an accurate and timely manner and utilise sales analysis when decision making
Present sales analysis to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, highlighting key takeaways and future actions plans
Build and develop balanced assortment to meet brand & financial objectives
Analyse current business to identify opportunity and risks in future assortments
Manage presentation documents & tools each season to communicate assortment strategy & updates
Influence line planning and category assortment by analysing product performance, floorset feedback, consumer trends, and competitive landscape with an understanding of business unit needs by market
Manage and lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and seasonally reporting
Oversee replenishment and initial allocations to drive sell through across all channels
Review and re-forecast continuity lines on a regular basis, highlighting risks and opportunities
Oversea Seasonal buys working closely with Finance and Production
Manage retail inventory, suggesting and actioning weekly top ups
Build a strong working relationship with the store manager
Work with the retail team to action monthly stock counts
Store visits as required
Lead wholesale appointments with the assistance of the COO
Oversee and manage all wholesale orders, ensuring that any missed opportunities are highlighted to the wholesale team
Work closely with the buyers to ensure stock is regularly topped up to maximise on sales opportunities
BA or BS degree with 4+years of experience in a Merchandising or Buying capacity in a related business or brand.
Excellent product sensibility
Experience with Brightpearl and excellent Excel skills
Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for business
Strong analytical, presentation and problem solving skills
Strong financial acumen and understanding of what is needed to drive a business
Ability to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in partnering with a cross functional team
Capability to adapt to changes and challenges with a positive outlook
Demonstrated knowledge of the product development and production processes
