An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established, respected practice based in Stafford. This is an ideal role for a Vet who enjoys a varied caseload, values client relationships, and is looking for a supportive environment to develop their career.
For over 30 years, the practice has been at the heart of the local community, providing trusted, high-quality care to patients across the area. Situated in attractive market towns just 50 minutes from Birmingham, the locations offer the perfect mix of countryside charm and easy city access, with West Midlands Airport only an hour away.
The recently refurbished premises provide a modern, light, and spacious working environment. The site features two glass-linked theatres and is equipped with digital radiography, a vista scanner, in-house laboratory analysers, ultrasound, and dental radiography. Both sites hold Cat-Friendly Silver status, as well as Silver RWAF and Green Investors in the Environment accreditations, reflecting the team’s commitment to excellent clinical standards and environmental responsibility.
The role offers a well-balanced rota, typically including one day of surgery, one day of consultations, and two mixed days per week. The balance can be tailored to individual preferences. There’s a 1-in-3 Saturday morning rota and no out-of-hours duties, ensuring an excellent work–life balance.
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of five experienced Vets, supported by dedicated nurses and client care staff. The practice prides itself on its collaborative culture, continuity of care, and genuine team spirit. In addition to small animal work, there’s the opportunity to see a fascinating range of wildlife and exotic species, from hedgehogs and owls to reptiles and the occasional “baby dragon”!
The ideal candidate will be confident with routine first-opinion duties and passionate about delivering outstanding care. An enthusiasm for professional development is encouraged and supported, with access to extensive internal and externally funded CPD opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and compassionate Vet to join a progressive, well-equipped, and highly regarded practice.
