Cost Controller
Job summary
A prominent contractor in the UK seeks a Cost Controller to support cost governance and reporting on a significant nuclear civils programme. Responsibilities include maintaining cost reporting structures, assisting with forecasting, and providing cost insights to project leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost control on large infrastructure projects, strong analytical skills, and must be able to obtain SC clearance. A competitive salary of £65,000 plus car allowance is offered.
Qualifications
- Experience in cost control on large civils or nuclear projects is essential.
- Strong analytical skills are required to support forecasting and cost assurance.
- Must be able to obtain SC clearance due to nature of the programme.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cost reporting structures and support commercial governance.
- Assist with forecasting and cost analysis for multiple work packages.
- Provide cost insight to project leadership and support project controls teams.
Skills
I am supporting a Tier One contractor delivering a significant long term nuclear civils programme in Cumbria. This is a large scale, highly regulated infrastructure environment with complex work fronts, multi discipline interfaces and detailed programme controls.
We are looking for a Cost Controller to support cost governance, reporting and forecasting across multiple work packages.
- Maintain cost reporting structures and support commercial governance
- Assist with forecasting, earned value, change management and cost analysis
- Support project controls teams with data accuracy and reporting cycles
- Provide cost insight to project leadership
- Work closely with planners, QS teams and engineering delivery leads
- Cost control experience on large civils, nuclear or infrastructure projects
- Strong numerical and analytical capability
- Understanding of forecasting, commercial reporting and cost assurance
- Confidence working within a multi disciplined environment
Due to the nature of the programme, you must be able to obtain SC clearance.
Salary £65,000 plus car allowance £5,750.
