Job Title: Senior Quality Engineering Manager
Location: Remote (Must be UK based)
Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £100,000 + 8% Bonus
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineering Manager to lead and further develop their Test Engineering (TE) capability as they scale. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, pragmatic quality practices, and strong cross-functional collaboration, rather than executive-level ownership or rapid headcount growth.
In this role, you will own the day-to-day leadership and evolution of quality practices across multiple engineering teams, working closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps leadership. While the position has broad influence across the organisation, it operates through partnership and technical leadership rather than formal executive authority.
You will lead an established Test Engineering organisation and play a key role in improving the consistency, effectiveness, and scalability of testing across teams, with a strong focus on quality outcomes and customer confidence. This is a player–coach role, requiring you to remain technically hands-on while also developing people, standards, and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Experience
Research indicates that men will apply to a role when they meet only 50–60% of the requirements, while women and other underrepresented groups often look for a 90–100% match. If this role excites you but you don’t tick every box, please still apply — we’d love to hear from you.
