Job summary
A local nursery in Preston is seeking a dedicated individual to provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years. The role involves building trusting relationships with children and their families, ensuring their safeguarding and welfare, and contributing to a welcoming nursery environment. Applicants must have a minimum Level 3 qualification and various required certificates. This is a permanent full-time position with supportive colleagues.
Qualifications
- DBS certificate on the update service required.
- Certificate in Food hygiene (can be updated) required.
- Paediatric first aid (can be updated) required.
- Certificate in Safeguarding Children (can be updated) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to children aged 0-5 years.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare of the children in your care.
- Contribute to the running of the room and the nursery as a whole.

Here at Whitefriars Nursery we are looking for a mature individual to join our well-established team! We strive to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive practice where children are able to explore, grow and shine. We are a small, warm and welcoming nursery focused on child‑centred learning through play and curiosity.
Your responsibility involves providing high-quality care to children aged 0-5 years, building strong and trusting relationships with children, parents and staff! Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of the children in your care and contribute to the running of the room you’re working in and the Nursery as a whole!
- Job type: Full time, permanent
- Hours: Between 7:30am – 6:30pm
- Qualification: Minimum Level 3
- DBS certificate on the update service
- Certificate in Food hygiene (can be updated)
- Paediatric first aid (can be updated)
- Certificate in Safeguarding Children (can be updated)
