Massage Therapist jobs in Canada

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Upton Grange school. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, which guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies.

• Hold and manage a Speech and Language Therapy caseload with full support from your designated clinical supervisor and site lead.
• Deliver assessment and intervention programmes that are person‑centred and empowering, putting pupils at the forefront of everything you do.
• Contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support pupils’ communication needs and progress.
• Engage with families, relatives and carers to facilitate communication support at home and in the community.

• Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• HCPC registered.
• 1–2 years experience as a fully registered member of the RCSLT working in a similar educational setting.
• Experience engaging and working with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles.
• Knowledge of neurodiversity and trauma‑informed practice.
• Experience of multidisciplinary working in a range of settings.
• Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers.
• Interest in developing knowledge and skills in different areas of SaLT practice.
• Strong relationship‑building, analytical and judgemental skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good time‑management and organisational skills.
• Competence in core areas of SaLT practice and a clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards.
• Knowledge of SaLT assessment tools, types of intervention and the formulation of support plans based on needs profile.
• Knowledge of legislation and its implications for clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to attend training and work towards further qualifications relevant to the client group supported.
• Full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Desirable:
• Understanding of how sensory and motor differences may impact an individual's communication strengths and needs.
• Understanding of the relationship between arousal levels and communication.
• ASD experience.
