🕓 Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–16:30 (term-time only)

About the Role

Are you a caring and motivated graduate with a passion for helping children communicate and connect with the world around them?

A warm, inclusive special school in Motspur Park is seeking a Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist to join their supportive team.

The school caters for pupils aged 2–19 with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties (SLD/CLD), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

You’ll work closely with qualified Speech and Language Therapists, teachers, and pastoral staff to deliver interventions that develop pupils’ communication, social, and emotional skills, empowering them to find their voice and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • 💬 Deliver 1:1 and small-group speech and language interventions tailored to pupil needs
  • 🤝 Support teachers in creating engaging, autism-friendly classroom environments
  • 🌈 Encourage pupils’ communication, social interaction, and emotional development
  • 👥 Collaborate daily with SALT professionals, SEN teachers, and therapists
  • 🛡️ Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and wellbeing across all activities
What We’re Looking For
  • 🎓 A recent graduate (Psychology, Linguistics, Education, Speech Sciences, or related)
  • ❤️ A naturally empathetic, patient, and proactive individual
  • 🗣️ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ✅ Full-time availability during term-time
  • 🚆 Able to commute to or relocate near Reading
