A healthcare organization in England is seeking a full-time In-Patient Clinical Secretary for their Older People Care Unit. The role provides vital administrative support to medical teams on Kingfisher Ward, including managing appointment schedules and documentation. Applicants should have experience in secretarial duties and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ideal for those with RSA/OCR Level 3 typing qualification. The position involves a DBS check fee deducted from the salary.
Older People Care Unit has a secondment opportunity for a full time In-Patient Clinical Secretary for Kingfisher Ward at Blossomwood.
This post will provide secretarial and administrative support to the ward clinical and medical teams. You will undertake clinical administrative and secretarial work as required by the ward medical and clinical team, providing support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and Ward Manager maintaining accurate appointment schedules. You will coordinate and attend ward round and other regular ward meetings taking accurate minutes, maintain an effective filing system for patients' records and documentation and ensure that data is input onto the Rio patient information system for patients on the ward.
Experienced secretary with comprehensive knowledge of administration and secretarial duties, skilled in meeting the needs of the role. RSA/OCR Level 3 in typing or text processing or equivalent qualification or experience, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
