EAL Teaching Assistant – Support Children with English as an Additional Language in Uxbridge

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them build confidence in English? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Uxbridge is seeking an enthusiastic EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant to join their team this September 2025.

Location: Uxbridge
Start Date: September 2025
Role: Full-Time or Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Salary: £90 – £110 per day

• Help children with EAL develop their English language skills
• Work closely with teachers to support small groups or one-to-one sessions
• Gain valuable classroom experience and professional development opportunities
• Make a meaningful impact on children’s confidence, learning, and integration

As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support children whose first language is not English, helping them access the curriculum
• Assist teachers with lessons and classroom activities tailored for EAL learners
• Encourage speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
• Help children settle into school life and thrive academically and socially

• Have experience working with children (essential)
• Have excellent spoken and written English— clear communication is essential
• Are patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about supporting children
• Are reliable, organized, and a strong communicator

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
