A national law firm is seeking a Residential Conveyancer for a contract role offered on a remote basis. The role involves managing a caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion while ensuring professional communication with clients. Residential Conveyancer- Contract
An established national law firm is seeking a Contract Conveyancing Fee Earner to join team on a remote basis. This is a contract role offered on a day rate via an umbrella company.
The Opportunity:
Working within a team that deals with residential property sales arising from lender possession, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload of conveyancing matters from file opening to completion. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a highly respected law firm that supports a wide range of lender clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing files from instruction to completion.
Refer legal complexities to the Team Manager as needed.
Maintain professional communication with clients and asset managers, providing regular updates.
Take clear and accurate telephone notes, escalating technical issues where appropriate.
Attend client meetings with the management team and contribute confidently.
Proactively identify and resolve problems, consulting with senior team members where necessary.
Stay current on changes in conveyancing regulations and procedures, sharing knowledge across the team.
Requirements:
Prior conveyancing experience is essential.
Strong background in title checking (freehold, leasehold, and shared ownership properties).
Ability to draft clear legal advice and propose solutions to clients.
Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and strong written English.
Comfortable handling numbers and managing technical documentation.
A client-focused approach, with a confident and empathetic telephone manner.
The Team:
The team operates across several UK offices and specialises in supporting a diverse client base including banks, building societies, and third-party lenders. Their work involves high-volume residential conveyancing, with a strong focus on ensuring customers are treated fairly and with due consideration for vulnerability and compliance.
Contract Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Bristol/ Birmingham or remote
Rate: Competitive day rate (via umbrella)
Duration: Initial contract, with potential for extension
