Overview
The Senior Director, Services Go-to-Market is a leadership role, primarily responsible for collaborating with the relevant internal senior leadership / executive stakeholders to oversee the implementation of the Professional services go-to-market strategy and the achievement of client-led, business value solutions.
Responsibilities
- Drive engagement and collaboration across Global and Regional functions to achieve results.
- Apply analytical and data-driven business management to support timely organizational decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Build trusted business management platforms, oversee data acquisition, and resolve data integrity issues to enable the broader Professional Services organization to adopt global best practices.
- Encourage open dialogue, communication and best practice sharing across regions and services units.
- Operate within a double-solid reporting structure to provide visibility of regional strategy to in-country leads and go-to-market executives.
- Conduct annual capacity planning and participate in the design of relevant incentives for the Services teams.
- Cascade high level targets and collaborate with go-to-market executives to ensure a smooth operating model across all sales initiatives and focus areas.
- Contribute to the definition of sales processes, tools, and capabilities needed for key roles across three categories of accounts.
- Define performance KPIs, incentive schemes and quota retirement rules.
- Build and communicate Services business projections, coordinating work toward achievement of projections.
- Baseline, operationalize and optimize the commercial deal desk.
- Drive Managed Services / Services sales and manage profit and loss in the region / country.
- Contribute to the development of the Services strategy in the region / country.
- Assume the role of go-to-market lead for the assigned geography and align sales with key opportunities.
- Assume people and resource management accountabilities.
- Demonstrate knowledge across Enterprise Architecture, Professional Services, Service Management consulting, and multiple solutions areas, delivery units, and geographies.
- Lead and build collaborative teams through coaching and mentoring with accountability.
- Apply strategy development, market planning, scenario planning, and market modelling expertise.
- Balance strategic and pragmatic skills, combining strategic product marketing with hands-on involvement.
- Maintain excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Apply business and financial acumen to drive outcomes and revenue growth; possess strong negotiation, influence, conflict resolution and political savvy.
- Maintain vendor relationships to understand vendor product, business, and services positioning.
- Demonstrate presentation skills, innovation, and client orientation.
- Possess extensive knowledge in the services industry, service delivery models, process improvements, consumption models and Managed Services / Services portfolios and go-to-market solution areas.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or a related field.
- Certification and working knowledge of ITIL, Service Management and Integration preferred.
- Scaled Agile certification is desirable.
Required Experience
- Significantly vast experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within a global technology services organization.
- Significantly vast experience with Managed Services / Services deliverables and value proposition within a product marketing context.
- Significantly vast sales strategic planning and execution experience.
- Experience coordinating the design and implementation of new delivery models in a significantly globally federated delivery organization.
- Significantly vast client engagement and consulting experience with client needs assessment and change management.
- Significantly vast experience in relevant services and products with knowledge of industry best practices.
- Significantly vast partner / vendor relationship management experience.
- Significantly vast business development and pre-sales experience.
- Significantly vast leadership experience managing quota-bearing sales teams.
