Job summary
A fast-growing technology company in Birmingham seeks a Front-End Lead to take ownership of front-end strategy, architecture, and engineering standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with React and TypeScript, along with proven leadership skills in front-end systems. You will drive architectural improvements and lead performance optimizations within a complex, data-heavy product. This role offers genuine ownership, high trust, and collaboration with technical leadership in a motivating environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience leading front-end systems or teams.
- Proven ability to improve architecture, performance, and developer experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve a large React / TypeScript application.
- Lead architectural improvements using modular or micro-frontend approaches.
- Drive performance improvements in complex, data-rich UIs.
- Build scalable component systems and shared UI patterns.
- Set best practices around testing, observability, and delivery.
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for front-end quality.
