Role Purpose:
The PBP for SRDC will champion employee experience and play a key role in supporting the delivery of People Team activity within the Distribution Centre, with a particular focus on business partnering the Distribution Centre Manager and the Senior Leadership Team. This role will work collaboratively in developing the capability of the DC Management Teams, providing generalist HR guidance and support in delivering strategic objectives, projects & other initiatives. This role reports to the Senior People Manager for Superdrug Distribution.

A typical day in this role includes:
• Key stakeholders: Wider People team and Distribution/Transport teams, and Senior Managers.
• Providing guidance and advice to line managers on recruitment processes, including overseeing the successful temp to perm employment of Warehouse Operatives in the DC.
• Collaborate with Senior Managers on succession planning for key management positions, identifying development, and learning opportunities for internal successors.
• Working in collaboration with the Senior DC Leadership Team and central Learning & Development team to deliver engaging training and development opportunities for all work levels across the Distribution Centre.
• Working in partnership with the Distribution Centre Manager in maintaining strong relationships with employee representatives, including attending regular forum meetings, promoting collaboration and transparent two-way communication.
• Working collaboratively on effective strategies that help manage DC's People KPI's, including labour turnover and absence.
• Working in partnership to provide guidance and coaching to managers on Employee Relation matters, whilst having oversight of the processes being followed from start to finish. This includes performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance and absence matters.
• Providing leadership and guidance to the SRDC People Team to support them in delivering their key objectives and goals.

What you'll need:
• A passion for the world of Distribution health and beauty.
• A good understanding of current employment law and a keen interest in staying up to date with what's going on in the market and how that may impact us.
• Good digital literacy and an interest in learning new systems to drive efficiency

Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
