Role Overview

Systal is seeking assistance to further enhance the CMDB Function within their Service Delivery & Operations function. Our Service Delivery & Operations function operates in accordance with ITIL best practice and Group Global standards for Service Desk operation, Request Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Configuration Management, Problem management, Disaster Recovery, Site Management and Reporting.

What will you be doing?

  1. CMDB information gathering – review current data, identify gaps and populate missing information for Infrastructure & Networking assets.
  2. CMDB Service Modelling – Creating, developing and maintaining service maps that accurately represent the relationships between CIs and the services they support. Continuous improvement will also be required to document the existing process and identify improvements.
  3. Asset Management – Maintaining an accurate inventory of all IT Assets. Establish process documentation with defines the audit process to verify data accuracy. Working with disparate teams to ensure compliance with existing IT Controls & Policies.
  4. Configuration Management – Defining the process for regularly auditing and maintaining the CMDB in its entirety. Support IT Service Management by providing accurate configuration data, which will supplement improvement actions.
  5. Lifecycle Management – Monitoring the lifecycle of IT Assets from acquisition to disposal. Maintenance and recording of lifecycle events & vulnerability management activities will also be required.
  6. KPI Reporting – define KPI reporting for CMDB Data, including but not limited to reporting on the accuracy of CMDB data, compliance with asset management.

Who we are looking for?

  • Hands-on experience with leading Configuration Management Database (CMDB) platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL framework, particularly Configuration Management and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM).
  • Experience in data modelling, data integrity, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data management.
