Join Barclays as a Salesforce Software Engineer Managerand take ownership of guiding and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership, mentorship, and support while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • They demonstrates deep expertise in Salesforce integration, including ETL processes, API development with authentication, and asynchronous patterns such as event-driven architectures, enabling secure, scalable, and efficient data exchange across Salesforce and external systems.

  • They possess expert-level proficiency in Salesforce data architecture, configuration using Flows, and customization through Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and OmniStudio, enabling them to build complex and tailored solutions.

  • They demonstrate advanced proficiency in Salesforce DevOps practices, including Second-Generation Packaging (2GP), enabling modular development, automated CI/CD pipelines, and scalable, version-controlled deployments across environments.

Other highly valued skills include:

  • They demonstrates proficiency in applying Salesforce design patterns, including separation of concerns, modular architecture, and scalable component-based development, to ensure maintainable and efficient solutions.

  • They are proficient in secure coding practices, including input validation, access control, and data encryption, which helps protect sensitive information.

  • They are proficient in designing and managing scalable Salesforce data models, ensuring data integrity, performance, and alignment with business requirements.

To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Accountabilities
  • Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
  • Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
  • Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
  • Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
  • Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
