The A Side: A Day in The Life
Universal Music Group’s Global Commercial Partnerships team works with the world’s biggest digital platforms - including Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, TikTok and Meta - to help our artists reach fans everywhere. We’re a small global team part of the wider Commercial Affairs organisation, acting as the link between these partners and UMG’s international markets, alongside our US counterparts.
Our Job Is To
- Oversee day-to-day partner relationships & operations
- Launch new features and programs
- Support UMG labels and markets
- Make sure partner deals are implemented smoothly so we protect and grow revenue
We help share knowledge, tools and best practices across countries, so teams can plan releases effectively and engage fans through the latest digital opportunities. We’re looking for a Coordinator to join the team and support the Global Commercial Partnerships Director and Manager, with a primary focus on our streaming partners.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and partners to support commercial goals, keep things running smoothly, and help deliver great campaigns for UMG artists. We’re looking for someone who’s organised, detail-oriented and has a passion for music and technology - someone who is a self-starter, enjoys juggling multiple projects and works well with others to solve problems and make things happen.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organised
- Coordinate key partner programs - including global campaigns for UMG priority releases
- Work with labels to share assets, track timelines, and report performance
- Pitch weekly priority releases to partners via pitching tools and newsletters
- Help manage Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Deezer, and SoundCloud partner tools
- Support UMG markets with day-to-day requests for data, analysis and platform help
- Own specific tasks such as uploading DJ mixes to Apple Music
Be Administrative
- Create reports showing partner performance on key releases and campaigns
- Help resolve operational issues by working with internal ops and support teams
- Keep best practice guides and partner Sharepoints organised and current
- Maintain up-to-date contact lists for internal and external teams
Be Collaborative
- Support the wider Commercial Partnerships team
- Build strong relationships with UMG digital teams across the world
- Share key updates from labels and partners with the right internal teams
- Present updates on a bi-weekly forum with all UMG international streaming teams
