Job summary
A proprietary trading firm in Greater London is seeking an experienced Software Developer to collaborate with a small team on developing advanced trading applications. The role involves enhancing GUIs and building high-performance components for trading systems. Ideal candidates will have expertise in multi-threaded applications using Java, along with strong skills in Python for scientific computing. Applicants should also possess excellent communication skills and a background in finance is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, Engineering or other technical discipline.
- Experience developing high-performance, multi-threaded applications using Java.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, design patterns, OOP, threading, multiprocessing.
Responsibilities
- Building cutting edge trading applications and enhancing trading GUIs.
- Work with trading and quants to buildout a pricing and executing algorithms.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex problems within cross-functional teams.
