Working Arrangements: Agile – minimum 3 days in the office
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £47,420 (Based on experience)
Purpose of the Post: To carry a workload requiring exemplary practice in high complexity situations, exercising autonomy. Regular supervision will follow the Directorate’s policy. To champion best practice, lead practice development forums, and contribute to service improvement. To collaborate with service users and families to assess needs and deliver services within the social work team’s scope.
Responsibilities:
- Work with children and families, building effective relationships to elicit needs and promote participation in decision-making. Communicate effectively in challenging circumstances.
- Ensure statutory responsibilities are met, maintaining quality standards in services for children and young people.
- Undertake assessments per standards, policy, and procedures; act as a resource for specialist assessment and intervention.
- Plan, implement, and review interventions, supporting practice with evidence and theory.
- Manage a complex workload autonomously, developing networks for advice and practice development.
- Utilize supervision proactively for practice enhancement, reflection, and professional growth.
- Provide professional supervision and support to team members, including induction and mentoring.
- Foster a learning culture within the team and service.
- Contribute to staff appraisals and professional development.
- Participate in projects to promote innovation and excellence.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to data evaluation for practice improvement.
- Engage with colleagues and organizations to support service users, managing risks effectively, including positive risk-taking.
- Mentor less experienced staff.
- Meet the Professional Capabilities Framework at the Advanced level and HCPC standards.
