Contract - minimum 3 months

£330 per day Umbrella

Duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure all operations managed and delivered by BTS (Client) are carried out safely and in full compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Monitor, identify, assess and provide advice on forthcoming legislation to ensure the business is fully prepared for any changes before they become mandatory.
  • Provide professional health & safety advice and support to the Housing Asset Manager and the Building & Technical Senior Management Team, including:
    • Acting as Health & Safety Officer for all directly delivered and outsourced works, ensuring health & safety policies align with business and service requirements, and supporting the development of practical risk assessments where necessary.
    • Advising on the application of relevant health & safety legislation in line with statutory requirements, codes of practice, guidance notes and Council policy.
    • Acting as Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations where required.
    • Providing advice, training and guidance on health & safety matters to staff, tenants, leaseholders and contractors as appropriate.
Essential
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience in a similar post – providing health and safety advice.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety.
  • Corporate member of IOSH C.
