Yew ward is a 12‑bedded male acute unit in the Specialist Low Secure Forensic Service in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self‑motivated individual who is professional, open‑minded and works well as part of a team. The role requires confidentiality, person‑centred support and the ability to provide care in a non‑judgemental way. Responsibilities include administering medication, aiding service‑users’ recovery, supporting them with daily tasks to improve health and wellbeing, and building therapeutic relationships. You will work closely with service users and contribute to the multidisciplinary team, documenting accurately and timely. The post holder will also perform risk assessments (pre‑leave risk assessments, FACE and HCR‑20) and work a regular rotation of night shifts, long days, alternative weekend and bank‑holiday duties.
