Overview

Are you a highly motivated and experienced professional with a passion for the energy sector? We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our growing Energy Team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a portfolio of energy clients, coordinate risk placements, and deliver tailored insurance solutions while supporting both existing and new business relationships.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and overseeing budgeting and financial processes. You will also collaborate with the team to develop strategies and provide expert risk management advice to help clients mitigate risks and reduce their total cost of risk.

How you'll make an impact
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of energy clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Engage with clients via email, telephone, and face‑to‑face meetings, addressing queries from clients, underwriters, and market representatives.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional support.
Risk Placement Coordination
  • Coordinate the placement of risks, including producing documentation to assist placement and maintenance throughout the risk lifecycle (e.g., underwriting submissions, Market Reform Contracts (MRC), wordings, endorsements).
  • Ensure accounts are serviced efficiently and professionally, including creating MRC slips, policy wordings, and underwriter submissions, as well as managing slip endorsements.
Processing and Documentation
  • Monitor and maintain workflow, budgetary records, debit notes, and policy wordings.
  • Operate a paperless filing system and streamline processes for efficiency.
  • Produce and monitor renewal reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Monitor credit control reports, liaising with brokers, markets, and internal teams to ensure reports are up‑to‑date.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure excellent service and compliance by meticulously checking and organising documentation.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date working knowledge of regulatory requirements, including Contract Certainty.
  • Process annual compliance requirements on platforms such as Atlas and adhere to company and regulatory policies and procedures.
Budgeting and Financial Management
  • Manage budgeting processes for client accounts, ensuring alignment with financial targets and objectives.
  • Adhere to financial reporting requirements, including monthly phasing of income.
  • Monitor account profitability and identify opportunities to optimise revenue streams.
Team Collaboration and Leadership
  • Foster collaboration within the team and across divisional units.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to the development of team strategies and goals.
