Job summary
A construction recruitment agency is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work in Waterloo, London. This role entails supporting the commercial team, managing subcontractors, and engaging in client relations. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Quantity Surveying or related fields and relevant civil engineering experience. We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work for a main contractor based out of Waterloo. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to progress within the civil engineering industry with a contractor who are continuing to expand within their core sectors, Civil Rail, Electrification and Substations.
Candidate Profile
- Degree/ HND/ HNC Qualified in Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management (or working towards)
- Experience within Civil Engineering sectors is essential, preferably within a rail environment
- Experience working on NEC forms of contract
- CSCS card required
- Eligible to live and work permanently in the UK
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the commercial team with running of various projects
- Assist with sub-contract procurement
- Managing existing sub-contractors
- Attending CVR Meetings
- Client liaison
- Monthly Reports
- Working closely with operational teams to secure best commercial result
