CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator - Milling
Location: Egham
Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 (DOE)
A global leader in aerospace component manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Miller to program, set, and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis milling machines. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled CNC professional to work on precision aerospace components in a technically advanced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC machines (3, 4, & 5 axis) using Fanuc and Sinumerik controls (online)
- Program offline using EDGECAM
- Set and produce first-off components to meet exacting tolerances and quality standards
- Generate setup documentation and ensure repeatability in production
- Continually improve processes and tooling through updated cutting technology
- Collaborate with management to meet production timelines and flag potential issues
- Provide technical support and solutions for production and process issues
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to maintain rigorous QA standards
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards on the shop floor
- Mentor new staff and support team members as needed
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience in CNC milling - programming, setting, and operating
- Strong background in aerospace machining preferred
- Proficiency in EDGECAM for CAD/CAM offline programming
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc and Sinumerik controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in both metric and imperial systems
- Apprenticeship background and technical training courses preferred
- Sound understanding of measurement tools and QA practices
- Good command of English and Mathematics
