We are recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a busy retail contractor delivering projects across the UK. Specialising in new build and fit out works for a leading national retailer, the company has a strong pipeline of work and an excellent reputation for delivering on time and to high quality standards.
This role is based in Wantage, working on a new retail unit with a handover date in December 2025. You will be supporting the Site Manager in day-to-day site operations, ensuring the smooth running of the project through to completion.
- Assisting the Site Manager in overseeing site activities.
- Supervising subcontractors and trades on site.
- Monitoring site safety, inductions, and toolbox talks.
- Supporting with progress reporting and record keeping.
- Ensuring works are carried out to the required quality standards.
- SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid - essential.
- Previous experience in retail fit out or new build projects.

- Ability to work effectively within a team and take responsibility when needed.
