A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer for a prestigious client in Newport, Wales. The role requires DV clearance and offers competitive pay up to £90/hr. Responsibilities include supporting SOC operations and mentoring the SOC Engineering team. Ideal candidates will have experience in security concepts and operational engineering. This position is fully onsite and focused on managing SOC activities and toolsets.
Certain Advantage are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client for a Cyber Security Engineer for initially 6 months. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the work you will be required to hold DV clearance and work the 37 hours per week fully onsite in Newport, South Wales. The hourly rate on offer is up to £90 / hr (Umbrella, depending on experience)

As a Cyber Security Engineer youll stand as an escalation point for all SOC operational engineering activity.
You will be responsible for the transition of projects from the System Design team into the SOC operations ensuring impact analysis, capacity and availability management are considered prior to accepting new projects.
Youll also mentor / oversee members of the SOC Engineering team, ensuring all operational tasks are completed and work tickets updated / closed on time.
