Overview

Professional and welcoming South Kensington-based parents seek a superb live-in career nanny for their 3-month-old son. The schedule will usually be Monday through Friday, 8am-8pm (with time for a break during the day), and if the successful candidate is interested in working some 6 day weeks, then they would definitely be open to that!

Responsibilities

This is as position for a professional and knowledgeable infant nanny who can be flexible around the family's needs and who brings a calm and confident approach. Responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of infant care, to include general nursery duties, including ensuring nap and feeding schedules are adhered to etc
  • Preparing purees and baby food, supporting the eventual weaning process
  • Continuing with encouraging healthy sleeping patterns (you will not be responsible for overnights, as they currently have night-nurse support and will continue to do so until he is consistently sleeping through the night)
  • Creating an engaging and stimulating environment that promotes healthy development
  • Keeping the nursery tidy and organised, and keeping on top of baby's laundry and ironing
  • Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings
  • Being aware of developmental and behavioural milestones, actively working with the whole family to ensure his social, emotional and physical well-being is a priority
  • Bringing a positive, flexible and cheerful demeanour to the home
  • Some assistant-style duties for the parents
  • Vacation travel with the family when required
Requirements
  • Excellent communicator and a professional demeanour
  • Skilled at reading the room and integrating seamlessly into a household
  • Calm, kind and nurturing personality with a pitch-in mentality
  • Hands on and resourceful but able to recognise when to give the family space and privacy
  • Experience with a similar age is essential and longevity in previous roles is preferred
  • Sterling, verifiable references
  • Candidates must be flexible - the parents travel regularly for work and will need someone who can adapt to changing schedules and requirements
  • Fantastic work-ethic, motivated and dedicated, and full of initiative!
