Job summary

A social care agency in Ipswich seeks a Young Persons Advisor to support care leavers and asylum seekers in their transition to adulthood, including housing, education, and employment. The ideal candidate will have experience with vulnerable young people, strong communication skills, and a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience. This hybrid role offers flexible working arrangements and requires independent travel across Suffolk.

Qualifications

  • Direct experience working with children, young people, and families.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and early intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Pathway Plans and case responsibility for care leavers.
  • Conduct welfare visits and assess housing conditions.
  • Advocate for care leavers with external agencies.
