Job description

A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving Workshop based in Biggleswade for a Workshop Service Controller.

The role contributes to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by contributing to the quality standards and driving profitable growth through the effective scheduling control and organisation of the preparation of machines prior to final inspection and subsequent release to customers whilst working within the Companys key result areas; Business Performance Customer Focus People and Teamwork Leadership.

Your responsibilities as a Workshop Service Controller
  • Establishing a customer first mentality when maintaining and realigning planning schedules
  • Ensuring customer specifications are met by ensuring timely delivery of optional extras and machine-specific attachments to allow for a continuous workflow so as to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Developing an effective working relationship with the sales administration team Liebherr Rental and Used equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships between themselves and the workshop engineers
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems
  • Operating the wash bay planning system to effectively manage the work flow
  • Planning all activity into the LISA planning board
  • Working in accordance to company quality assurance guidelines
  • Maintaining an organised system of work ensuring filing and documentation are handled in a timely manner and logically filed
  • Taking the lead in the organisation and delivery of spare parts through the effectrive management of sub suppliers.

The successful candidate will require the following :

  • GCSE pass grade (A-C or 9-4) in Mathematics and English
  • Able to demonstrate the application of skills required within a technical environment
  • Demonstrate an exceptional level of planning and organising skills applied within a fast paced and changing environment
  • Team player
  • Flexible approach to work
