Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic teacher for Year 3. The role requires a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing pupil progress, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Qualifications

Job description
Teaching & Learning
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum.
  • Use varied, innovative teaching approaches to motivate and challenge pupils.
  • Maintain high expectations for attainment, progress, and behaviour.
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes independence, creativity, and a love of learning.
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities, including SEND, EAL, and high achievers.
  • Provide timely, purposeful feedback to support pupils' development.
Assessment & Record Keeping
  • Assess learning regularly using both formative and summative approaches.
  • Track pupil progress accurately and use data to inform planning.
  • Prepare reports and deliver updates to parents, carers, and school leaders as required.
  • Contribute to moderation processes within year or phase teams.
Behaviour & Classroom Management
  • Establish a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Apply the partner school's behaviour policies consistently and effectively.
  • Ensure resources are well‑organised and pupils take responsibility for their learning spaces.
Collaboration & Professional Conduct
  • Work closely with year‑group and whole‑school teams to plan, share ideas, and improve practice.
  • Support teaching assistants and additional adults in delivering high‑quality learning opportunities.
  • Engage fully in professional development and performance review processes.
