A well-regarded primary school in Wellingborough is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is eager to inspire and support pupils at a crucial stage in their learning journey.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 2 class, planning and delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners. You will be expected to track pupil progress, prepare them for end of Key Stage 1 assessments, and create a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Collaboration with colleagues and contribution to the wider school community will also be key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring all make progress.
  • Prepare pupils for SATs and end of Key Stage 1 assessments.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
