The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a career and can be progressed and developed within the area.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the efficiency of the area by ensuring that materials are handled correctly and safely within the yard
• Sorting of materials, picking and manual handling
• Perform some lifting and manual handling of materials
• Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed
• Picking on the belt of the trommel
• Greasing of the plant equipment
• Hand picking any contaminated loads in volume
• Maintaining a organised yard by ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely and that the yard is clean, tidy and safe
• Working in a small team offering a willing and flexible approach

Skills / Qualifications

• The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards
• Proven experience in materials handling is a bonus, although full training is given
