Job summary

This role involves hands-on experience in an X-ray Imaging Laboratory while completing academic study towards a nationally recognised higher qualification in engineering or mechatronics. The ideal candidate will have A-levels in STEM subjects and a strong interest in engineering.

Qualifications

• A-levels (or equivalent) in STEM subjects such as Physics, Maths, Electronics, or Computer Science.
• A strong interest in engineering, technology, or applied science.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a hands-on environment.
• Eligibility to enrol in a Level 4 or 5 Higher Apprenticeship programme.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of electromechanical systems.
• Operate and configure software tools for system control and data acquisition.
• Support verification and validation testing of prototypes and subsystems.
• Capture, organise, and analyse experimental data.
• Help troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation.
