An education recruitment agency is seeking a Workshop Supervisor / Instructor in York. You will provide hands-on training for learners in the field of White Goods Refurbishment, manage inventory, and ensure health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate has supervisory experience, strong organisational and leadership skills, and a passion for training. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £28,000 - £30,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Overview

Job Title: Workshop Supervisor / Instructor - Repair and Refurbishment

Location: York - Centre based

Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • To provide tailored, hands-on training and support to groups of learners within a workshop setting, who are gaining skills and experience in the field of White Goods Refurbishment (fridges; freezers; washing machines etc.)
  • Embedding of employability skills, and supporting with the delivery of relevant vocational qualifications (e.g. Warehousing).
  • Conduct health and safety checks, administering safe work practices.
  • Creation of schedules and targets, ensuring production and contractual goals are met.
  • Conduct regular 1:1\'s and development meetings with your team, to uphold motivation and high standards of performance.
  • Work in partnership with the wider education team, to support your learners with their Employability and personal development skills.
  • Manage and audit inventory and stock levels, to meet training and production demands.
  • Completion of required documentation and reports.
Qualifications
  • The successful candidate must have experience of working at supervisory level or above within: maintenance, repair, warehousing (or a similar field).
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Must be familiar with Health and Safety processes.
  • Must possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Possess a compassionate nature, to support vulnerable learners.
  • A passion for training and development.
  • Must possess strong administrative skills.
