Contract Type : Temporary assignment

Hours : Up to 40 per week

Pay : £21.23 - £24.16 per hour (PAYE), negotiable depending on experience

Role Overview

Pertemps is proud to present an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Workshop Semi-Skilled / Skilled Technician to join Harrow Council's fleet services team. This temporary role offers a competitive hourly rate, structured training, career development opportunities, and 21 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays).

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular inspections, servicing, and repairs of vehicles, equipment, and plant machinery.
  • Ensure all fleet assets are maintained to the highest standards, remain operational, and comply with Health & Safety regulations, Operator Licence requirements, and DVSA standards, minimising disruption to service delivery.
  • Diagnose and report recurring manufacturer faults to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge and support the delivery of a safe, reliable fleet.
