Overview

You'll be at the heart of our Brighouse operation, leading a skilled team and ensuring that our fleet and plant equipment are kept in top condition. From planning and compliance to people management and audits, this is a hands-on role that blends leadership with technical know-how.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee workshop operations, ensuring maximum output and quality
  • Lead safety-first culture and complete weekly audits across sites
  • Manage workshop team performance, mentoring and upskilling where needed
  • Monitor and maintain high service standards across all equipment
  • Contribute to planning and stock readiness with weekly yard checks
  • Be a hands-on leader with a mechanical mindset and a proven background in LCVs, HGVs or plant equipment
  • Previous experience as a Workshop Manager or Supervisor in a similar setting
  • Strong background as a Service Engineer or Fitter on LCVs, HGVs or Plant & Equipment
  • Preferably competent in using diagnostic tools and maintenance systems
  • Engineering qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ preferred)
  • Calm under pressure and confident in setting clear team priorities
