Job Title: Workshop Controller

Location: Lexus Croydon

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 basic (dependent on experience) + bonus (OTE £55,000)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00; 1 in 3 Saturdays, 08:00 - 13:00

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We areseeking a driven and experienced Workshop Controller to join the high-performing team at Lexus Croydon. This is a pivotal leadership role within one of the UK's most prestigious automotive brands, sitting at the heart of workshop operations.

What You’ll Do:
  • Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and manage workflow in a busy dealership
  • Act as the main point of contact between service advisors, sales teams, and technicians
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety standards across the workshop
  • Manage workshop waste, chemicals, specialist tools, and compliance procedures
  • Balance showroom support with effective workshop leadership
  • Ensure work is completed efficiently, on time, and to Lexus quality standards
  • Lead, motivate, and performance-manage a team of skilled technicians, setting the standard expected from a Workshop Controller within a premium brand
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous Workshop Controller experience is essential
  • Proven experience managing and leading workshop teams
  • Strong technical knowledge with confident IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple departments
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident under pressure
  • Comfortable overseeing workshop productivity, KPIs, and compliance as a senior Workshop Controller
  • Full UK driving licence required
