• Salary: Up to 51480 per annum, broken down as 22 p/h based on a 45 hour week, plus an extra 0.50p/h if you have a HGV Licence (training available).
• x1.5 overtime rate

Hours: 45 hours per week, rotating morning and afternoon shifts

Location: Padworth

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee and assist the Technician team within the workshop
• Carry out weekly/monthly R&A inspections
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy at all times
• Assist in allocation of daily work and prioritisation of jobs
• Keep the Daily Work Diary up-to-date
• Monitor oil levels and place orders on time
• Monitor waste oil levels weekly and arrange collections
• Manage the workshop’s daily workload
• Input labour and parts usage
• Assist with weekly safety reports and inspections
• Assist with procurement/sourcing of parts
• Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations (IRTEC licence preferred; training provided)
• Complete roadside repairs when necessary (training provided)

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician, ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification; we may consider a technician in a similar trade
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• HGV driving licence (preferred but not essential)
• Own a comprehensive tool kit (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools provided by Veolia)
