Qualifications

Please note this role will be based full time at our Head Office in Chandlers Ford.

Job Opportunity

Working as our Workshop / Aftersales Technician your role will include :

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of tools and domestic products, including
  • Hand tools
  • Power tools
  • Electrical and battery-operated equipment
  • Domestic products sold within our range and brand ranges
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks on returned and serviced products.
  • Working with warranty and outside warranty claims, providing accurate assessments and repair reports.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment despite a busy, high-volume workshop.
  • Keeping accurate records of repairs, parts used, and turnaround times.
  • Liaising with the sales and customer service teams to provide technical support and aftersales assistance.
Essential Skills

Skills required

  • Proven experience in repairing and servicing tools, power tools, or similar equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment.
  • Practical problem‑solving ability with a hands‑on approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Experience in wholesale or retail tool businesses.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of PAT testing and UK electrical safety standards.
  • Qualifications in mechanical / electrical engineering or a related trade.
  • Strong computer literacy.
