Job summary

An Oil and Gas Operator is seeking a Work Over Supervisor for a contract position in Algeria. You will oversee wellsite operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience and be proficient in English. This role requires a strong technical background in both drilling and completion operations. A rotational schedule of 28 days on and 28 days off will apply.

Overview

WORK OVER SUPERVISOR required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Algeria. Rotation: 28 Days On x 28 Days Off.

Principal Responsibilities

• The company representative on the rig, ensuring the interest is best served. The direct point of contact with the on-site service providers.
• Responsible for the entire wellsite completion operations. Ultimate authority for all personnel on the rig site.
• Develops and issues verbal and written instructions to the contractor Tool Pusher and the service company representatives for desired changes in operations. Monitors the operations to ensure the required changes are performed.
• Personally inspects all tools and wellhead equipment for size and pressure rating on arrival at the rig site. Assures that the proper tools and back-ups, if required, are available on location and ready for use. Ensures that every piece of equipment that enters the hole is measured and that the drill string length is accurately known.
• Provide technical troubleshooting on the work over rig.
• Prepares a service contractor evaluation form at the end of each well.
• Raise requisitions and work-orders. To follow up the move and to prepare the reception of the rig.
• Perform weekly audit checks on all contractor certification relating to well control, maintenance and safety
• Ensure that wells are worked-over in a manner that meets the objectives of the Reservoir, Production, Geological departments and senior management

Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of experience, which include working as operator/contractor WO supervisor, with the last 5 years as Day WO Supervisor for operator. Experience in completion engineering and as toolpusher is an advantage.
• Ability to supervise both drilling and completion operations.
• Proficiency in Landmark software “OPEN WELLS”.
• Highly proficient in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of French and Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid IWCF well control level 4 (Supervisory Level) or equivalent.
