Job description

At Tiny Wine Bar, we pride ourselves on offering a curated selection of wines in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. As a Waiter/Waitress, your role is central to creating a memorable guest experience through exceptional service, product knowledge, and genuine hospitality. A passion for wine and a desire to share that knowledge with guests is key to success in this role.

Responsibilities:

1. Guest Engagement: Greet guests warmly, present wine and food menus, and provide thoughtful recommendations based on preferences and pairings.
2. Wine Knowledge: Offer informed insights on our wine list, including varietals, regions, tasting notes, and suggested pairings.
3. Service Delivery: Take orders accurately and serve wine and small plates with professionalism and care.
4. Presentation & Quality: Ensure wine is presented and served according to service standards, including proper glassware and temperature.
5. Table Maintenance: Maintain clean and well-set tables, attending to guest needs throughout their visit.
6. Order Coordination: Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
7. Transactions: Handle bills and payments with accuracy and efficiency.
8. Cleanliness: Uphold high standards of cleanliness across all guest-facing areas.
9. Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable guest experience.
10. Progression to Lead Waiter/Waitress:
    1. Consistently deliver high-level service and demonstrate deep product knowledge.
    2. Show leadership through communication, problem-solving, and initiative.
    3. Support junior staff and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.

Experience & Requirements:

• Experience: Required
• Languages: English – Advanced
• Employment: Part-time
• Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 6-7 hour shifts, 3-5 days a week (20-30 hrs/week)
• Salary: £12.25 – £15 hourly
• Benefits: Including Service Charge
• Starting time: Immediate start!
