Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Oxford is seeking an experienced IT support specialist to deliver first and second-line support across Microsoft-based infrastructures. You will be responsible for diagnosing server issues, monitoring system health, and providing support for high-traffic web environments. Ideal candidates should have strong experience with Windows Server and virtualization technologies. This role requires shift work, including nights, with approximately 25% on-call support for production emergencies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, IIS, and NLB.
• Proficient in VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V administration.
• Experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, and RDS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first and second-line support across Microsoft-based infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents affecting servers and core business applications.
• Monitor system health and performance for maximum uptime.
