Job summary

A leading renewable energy company is offering a Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship in Workington. This full-time, fixed-term program starts as soon as possible and spans three years, combining classroom-based training at Coleg Llandrillo with on-site experience at Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm. Candidates must have 5 GCSEs, be willing to learn, and provide effective problem-solving skills. The apprenticeship includes accommodation, travel expenses, and a salary of £17,510 in the first year, with opportunities for growth and a Level 3 qualification in Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Solve electro/mechanical issues on wind turbines.
  • Safely operate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
  • Plan necessary tools and materials for tasks.
  • Diagnose and assess condition of wind turbine components.
  • Engage in ongoing training to become a skilled technician.
