Job Title: Wet Paint Sprayer

Location: Leicestershire, LE9

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm (40 hours per week) or part time (25.5 - 36 hours per week)

Pay: £14.30 per hour

A long-established engineering and fabrication business is seeking an experienced Wet Paint Sprayer to join their team. The company works on a wide range of high-quality manufactured steel products and offers long-term stability and a supportive working environment.

Role

The Wet Paint Sprayer will prepare, prime, and apply paint finishes to fabricated steel components. You will work to high quality standards and ensure all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare steel components for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking, priming)
  • Apply wet paint
  • Mix, match, and apply paint to required specifications
  • Inspect finished items to ensure quality and consistency
  • Perform touch-ups or rework as needed
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift (in-house licence accepted)
  • Operate overhead cranes (desirable, training can be provided)
  • Maintain spraying equipment and ensure proper material storage
  • Follow all health & safety procedures and use correct PPE
  • Support general shop-floor duties when required
About You
Essential
  • Previous experience as a Wet Paint Sprayer in an industrial or engineering environment
  • Strong ability to prep and paint steel components
  • Counterbalance forklift experience
  • High attention to detail and strong quality focus
  • Understanding of health & safety practices
Desirable
  • Overhead crane operating experience (training available)
  • Experience in fabrication or structural steelwork environments
