Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Ammanford to recruit a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a full-time 1:1 role, supporting a pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).

This is a rewarding opportunity for a patient, caring and committed individual who has an understanding of ALN and is passionate about helping children thrive in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities
  • Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with ALN
  • Supporting learning, communication and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with the class teacher and ALNCo
  • Creating a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
  • Experience or understanding of ALN (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Patient, empathetic and reliable
  • Able to commit full time until the end of the academic year
