Job summary

A healthcare organization in Wales is seeking an experienced Receptionist for their GP Practice in Holywell. The role involves booking appointments, handling patient queries, and undertaking administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and prior healthcare experience is beneficial, though training will be provided. Fluency in Welsh is essential. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is required.

Qualifications

  • Proficient IT skills required including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to input information onto a computer system with speed and accuracy.
  • Experience of dealing with the public on the phone and face to face.

Responsibilities

  • Booking appointments and dealing with patient queries.
  • Undertaking a variety of administrative duties.
  • Working flexibly across multiple GP practices as needed.

Skills

Experience of using Microsoft Office packages
Experience of working in a busy reception or office environment
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
Ability to deal with the public on the phone and face to face
Welsh speaker (level 3) or willingness to learn Welsh

Education

Good standard of education
NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent
IT qualification or word processing (e.g. RSA 2 or equivalent)
