Welding Coordinator Role

The Welding Coordinator supports the Senior Welding Engineer in tasks related to ISO 14731, including:

1. Coordination of WPQRs, including procurement, machining, technique development, PWHT, and mechanical testing.
2. Assisting in the compilation of pWPSs and welding data packages.
3. Supporting technical reviews and repair investigations.
4. Reviewing and accepting filler metal certificates and subcontractor procedures.
5. Assisting with welding process procedures and equipment suitability assessments.
6. Preparing weld repair methodologies and researching new welding technologies.
7. Providing technical input to the welding team.
8. Coordinating production test coupons and welder qualification/site tests.
9. Managing and validating welder qualification certificates.
10. Evaluating metals and troubleshooting design or work pack issues.
11. Completing additional duties as assigned by the Senior Welding Engineer.
12. Preparing weld cards.
