Job summary

A reputable engineering business in Avonmouth is seeking an experienced Welding & Fabrication Foreman. You'll supervise welding crews, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and monitor project costs. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years' experience in marine or civil engineering and strong leadership skills. This role may require travel to sites and participation in on-call duties, offering a rate of £23.50 PAYE plus overtime for hours beyond 40.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine or civil engineering.
  • Experience supervising welding/fabrication teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise welders, fabricators, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure work meets quality, safety, and program requirements.
  • Manage RAMS, permits to work, and safe systems of work.
  • Monitor progress, costs, and report issues to management.
  • Order materials and consumables as required.
  • Maintain housekeeping, tool control, and staff discipline.
  • Support site surveys and assist with quotations.
  • Travel to sites and participate in on-call duties.
