Overview

Welder/Mobile Welder – TXM Recruit are looking for a Mobile Welder on an initial contract basis to work for an engineering company in Burton. This role requires frequent travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays.

Role Details

The standard rate for this role is £20.00ph PAYE or £27.15 UMBrella (inside IR35) with overtime at x1.5 (Time and a half). The role is expected to be Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with frequent opportunities for overtime. This will be a 6 month contract with options to go permanent if desired.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MAG/MIG welding in various positions predominantly on train components and bodyshells at site in Burton or at customer sites around the UK, typically within a small team.
• Travel to customer sites with occasional overnight stays (logistics and perks discussed on conversation).

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior Rail/Rolling Stock experience is desirable; however all industries are considered.
• Good MAG/MIG welding experience is essential.
• Experience with TIG/Stick is advantageous.
• Valid Driving Licence.
• Candidates must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening.
