Job summary

Welder Fitter - London

Rate: £39.24 per hour | Location: London

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to maintain the safe and efficient operation of workshop equipment, engineering infrastructure, and site facilities. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair mechanical machinery.
  • Keep workshop, yard, and engineering areas safe and clean.
  • Ensure workshop equipment is operational and report defects.
  • Respond to site defects, coordinating with Operations and Engineering teams.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and Engineering teams with tasks.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure works comply with RAMS.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Level 3 Welding qualification or higher.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.
  • Understanding of engineering operations, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
  • Effective communication, flexible, and proactive.
  • Time-served apprenticeship in marine, mechanical, fitter, or welding industries.
